Continued thanks to everyone for your unwavering support of Meli and me during the past several difficult months. Not a day has passed without a text, email, card, gift, bike ride, food or flower delivery or call from family and friends. We are truly grateful. December was a great month, I had two treatments and five bike rides. I have one more treatment scheduled on January 18th and, if all goes as planned, it will be my last. I have a PET scan scheduled on February 12th and a follow up appointment with my oncologist on February 14th where we hope to hear good news! Almost to the top of the climb.

Happy New Year! As we finish 2023, let me say thanks again for your continued commitment to Team Survivor and for your support of blood cancer patients and their families. I appreciate everything you do and wish you and your family all the best in the new year! Thanks for signing up with Team Survivor to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Team Survivor Kickoff 2024
Mark your calendars today and make plans to join Team Survivor for our annual Kickoff at 6:00 pm on February 27, 2024! ! Each year we get together at the beginning of the season to talk about last year’s accomplishments and our goals for the upcoming season. This is a great time to get grounded in the mission and ready for the season of fundraising and training.
Because of the success of Team Survivor’s 2023 fundraising season ($135,000 raised), we have been invited back to tour the University of Colorado blood cancer research lab funded by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (from donations raised by teams like ours).
We are honored to be hosted by Team Survivor’s very own Dr. James DeGregori. In addition we are privileged to have Dr. Manali Kamdar, MD Hematology & Oncology, as our guest. Dr. Kamdar is one of the top clinical oncologists in the nation and I was grateful to have her review my biopsies and consult with my oncologist for my Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma diagnosis and treatment plan.
Here is the Facebook invite, please RSVP today! https://www.facebook.com/events/402789675416550?ref=newsfeed
