Here we are. . .just 4 days before we ride around Lake Tahoe! Since our Kickoff we’ve had 16 training rides. We’ve ridden hundreds of miles and seen hundreds of smiles. We’ve climbed 35,000 feet. We’ve ridden on ice and ridden in Ubers. We’ve eaten 217 donuts and seen 426 farm animals while riding. And Professor James DeGregori provided a compelling presentation on the anatomy of a duck. We had our Send Off and have our schedule of activities for Tahoe. Most importantly, we achieved our goal by raising more than $100,000 for blood cancer research. What a year it has been! Thanks again to each of you who made the sacrifice to train and raise so we could participate in this event. You are all ready – you’ve put in the work and now you can cruise around the lake this Sunday knowing you are making a life changing impact on the lives of blood cancer patients. Thank you for signing up with Team Survivor to Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Safe travels!

FUNDRAISING

Acute Myeloid Leukemia Research Grant

The most important moment of the night was announcing that the team exceeded our fundraising goal and decided what research grant we would fund. Congratulations and thanks to each of you for this amazing accomplishment! We have raised $117,040 in donations and will be funding an Acute Myeloid Leukemia research grant in memory of Richard Weil, Delna’s Dad, and in honor of Ciarra Bristol Boyd, Laurie’s daughter-in-law.
