Team Survivor Newsletter June 2021

Take a minute and watch this video. We’ll be riding on many of these roads!

Go time! In a few days we’ll all be on our way to Moab to participate in Team Survivor’s The Big Nasty event. It’s been a crazy few years. In 2020 our signature ride in Lake Tahoe was cancelled so we all set our sights on 2021. Unfortunately the 2021 Tahoe event was also cancelled earlier this year so, like every activity during COVID, we switched gears and created an event in Moab. It’s been a challenging few years but thanks to each of you who have rallied around Moab and who continue to raise life saving donations for blood cancer research, treatment and cures. Now it’s time to celebrate in Moab – let’s celebrate our fundraising achievement and have a great time together this weekend! Please travel safe and we look forward to seeing you soon in Moab! Thanks for signing up with Team Survivor to Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

FUNDRAISING – SPRINT TO THE FINISH

$127,612

Let’s finish what we started! The final week before the event is a great time to ask for donations. As of June 1st we have raised $127,612 but we can do more! Here’s a sample social post/email to send to your contact list. Add your own comments about the cause and your training to make it personal.

Dear______, I have been training hard and working toward the goal of completing a 100 mile bike ride in Moab, UT! When I began my training, I made a goal to raise $XX,XXX to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) find a cure for blood cancers. So far with the help of my amazing friends and family, I have raised $X,XXX!! My fundraising deadline is Saturday, June 5th and I have $X,XXX to go! If you can help with any donation, it would mean the world to me and countless others who will benefit from the services funded by LLS. Your donation is POWERFUL. Did you know that $50 helps fund educational booklets for healthcare providers and their patients, $100 helps fund the training of Patti Robinson Kaufmann First Connection Program volunteers, who provide peer support to patients and their families around the country, $200 helps fund general lab supplies for one week, $1,000 helps support the training of a research fellow funded by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for one week. All you have to do is visit my website below and click the link to donate: PUT YOUR LINK HERE I have 4 days to hit my goal! Thank you in advance for helping me to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families. Please seize this moment and spread the word about this incredible cause!
